Vanishing Grace is a narrative puzzle and adventure game from Monte Perdido Studio. It is set a little way into the future, after a solar storm has reshaped life on Earth. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since February 11, 2021.
How it plays
You play Joel, a civil servant with an uneventful life, until he learns that his childhood friend Grace has disappeared. Her craft arrived at the Citadel with nobody on board, and Joel drops everything to go looking for her.
Most of the game is spent piloting Grace's craft over empty wasteland while you piece together what happened to her. Along the way you:
- Learn to handle the craft and follow clues to where Grace might be.
- Throw a futuristic boomerang to gather energy from stones floating in the air, which powers the craft.
- Solve puzzles to repair the craft when it breaks down.
- Uncover a story about the sacrifices people make to find where they belong.
This is a single-player experience focused on story and exploration rather than combat.
