ULTRA REAL GLASS BRIDGE TOURNAMENT (SQUID GAME INSPIRED FITNESS PLATFORMER)

Ultra Real Glass Bridge Tournament is a fitness platformer from Ultra Fun Games, inspired by the glass bridge challenge from Squid Game and set in a science-fiction tournament. It is distributed through SideQuest, where it was first listed in February 2022.

How it plays

You compete in a tournament held once a decade on the planet Thrinacia, standing for the Old Republic against the ruling Predators. To win, you have to clear all 50 levels. Each level is a platforming course inside a loud stadium: you jump across glass bridges, dodge obstacles, grab power-ups and face enemies armed with sabers. The core rule is to collect blue and green energy spheres and avoid everything else.

The game shares its setting with the studio's earlier title, Ultra Real Runner: Space Mission, and adds harder challenges and more lore.

Comfort

SideQuest rates it as intense, and it is built as a workout. There are three ways to move:

• Feet: run in place to move, and jump for real to leap in the game. The developer says this mode works the lower body hardest.
• Automatic: you move forward in the direction you look, but jumps still need a real jump.
• Joystick: steer with the stick, and jump in real life.
