Scary Baboon

Scary Baboon is a free multiplayer horror game from ENVER that blends action with social play. You and your friends are baboons trying to stay alive while monsters hunt you through each map. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since July 13, 2023, and remains in early access.

How it plays

Each round is a survival challenge. You hide wherever you can, for example up on a shelf, grab whatever is lying around, like a traffic cone, to defend yourself, and decide whether to help your friends or leave one behind so you can escape. The developer says every map has surprises, so you need to stay alert.

Multiplayer

Scary Baboon is played online with other people, and much of the fun comes from the group: hiding together, splitting up, or sacrificing a teammate to get away. ENVER runs a Discord server where it posts updates, challenges, giveaways and previews.

Meta gives Scary Baboon a moderate comfort rating. It is played standing, and it uses controllers. The horror theme and chases can feel tense, so younger or nervous players may want to try it with friends first.
