Match Point Tennis is a free-to-play Quest tennis game with AI matches, ranked online play and a Paris tournament mode unlocked by a one-time PRO upgrade.
Match Point Tennis is a free-to-play sports simulation from Backyard Games that brings tennis to Quest, with AI opponents, online matches and a tournament mode called PRO TOUR: Paris Invitational. It first launched on the Meta Horizon Store on June 14, 2021.
How it plays
PRO TOUR is built around real tournament brackets, with 42 rivals, six clay stadium courts in Paris and crowds that react to every point. Every player gets a free guest pass into the Group of 16, and a loss simply means another try. The full bracket runs through MPT 250, MPT 500 and MPT 1000 events, ending in a night final against the top-ranked Bastien Leroy.
- matches and training against AI opponents
- hard, grass and clay courts, each with its own bounce and feel
- more than 16 courts, including Paris, Amsterdam, Melbourne and Rhode Island
- XP, 64 achievement trophies and avatar and racket customization across four rarity tiers
- 12 Legendary cosmetics that can only be won in tournament rounds, never bought or drawn at random
Multiplayer
You can play public, private and ranked multiplayer matches and work your way up the Seasonal and All Time leaderboards. Private lobbies and leaderboards are part of the PRO upgrade.
Comfort
Meta gives Match Point Tennis a moderate comfort rating. It is played standing or in room-scale with controllers, so leave enough space to swing freely.
