I Expect You To Die is a puzzle adventure from Schell Games. It launched on Oculus Rift with Touch controllers on December 6, 2016, followed by PlayStation VR on December 13, 2016, SteamVR in April 2017 and Oculus Quest as a launch title on May 21, 2019. It is the first game in a series that now has two sequels.

How it plays

You are an elite secret agent of the Agency, working against the villainous organisation Zoraxis in a world inspired by classic spy films. Each operation drops you into a deadly situation, such as a car inside a plane's cargo hold, and you must work out how to survive and finish the mission with the objects around you. Agents have a telekinetic implant, so you can float items toward you without moving from your seat. Mistakes are often fatal, and the fun comes from trying again with what you learned.

The base game had four missions; later updates added First Class, Seat of Power and Death Engine, for seven operations in total. Playtime is roughly three to five hours.

Comfort

Meta rates the game as comfortable. It is designed to be played seated, with no artificial movement, which makes it a good first game for new VR players.
