A free escape game for Quest where you sneak out of your office during a hostage crisis, rescuing as many hostages as you can before time runs out.
Escape Terrorist is a stealth-focused action and adventure escape game from Stan Lab's. The developer says it is based on real events. You have to get out of the office where you work while saving as many hostages as possible, all against the clock. It is distributed through SideQuest, where it was first listed in January 2021.
How it plays
Rushing will not get you out. You need to creep through the corridors quietly and pick your moments so that you are neither heard nor killed. The office is full of objects you can pick up and use, and there is more than one way to reach the end, so different runs can play out differently.
- Several ways to finish the game
- Lots of interactive objects
- A score based on time taken, remaining health and the number of hostages saved
- Accurate player tracking, so you can physically crouch behind cover
- 90 Hz support
The scoring encourages replays: a faster escape with more hostages and less damage earns a better result.
Comfort
SideQuest rates comfort as intense. You can choose between free movement and teleportation, and teleporting is the gentler option for players prone to motion sickness in VR.
How to get it and what to know
- It is free.
- It is installed from SideQuest by sideloading; see our guide to sideloading on Meta Quest.
- Supported headsets: Meta Quest headsets such as the Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
- The listing description is written in both English and French.
