Cactus Cowboy - Fully Loaded

Cactus Cowboy - Fully Loaded is a free story-driven shooter and action game from Cactus VR Studios, in which Cactus Cowboy returns to save his world from invading alien robots. It came out on the Meta Horizon Store on July 7, 2021.

How it plays

Your journey starts in the Cacti Desert and ends on the moon. Along the way you liberate Cactus City, help the cacti of the windmill woods and fight alongside the cactus army against the invaders.

Your kit grows to more than 20 weapons, plus a pair of spiky cactus fists. Some weapons you find yourself; others are handed to you by friendly cactus allies. Once you finish the story, a gun range unlocks so you can replay favorite sections with the weapons you like best.

The developer stresses that this is a semi-linear story campaign, not a set of random missions or wave fights, and says it takes at least three hours even in a developer speedrun. It is a solo developer project meant to test both your aim and your movement.

The studio also has Cactus Cowboy - Plants At War and Cactus Cowboy Portal VR on the Meta Horizon Store.

Comfort

It supports standing and room-scale play, using motion controllers. No seated mode is listed, so plan to play standing.
