Bow Tales is an archery action and adventure game from STRV s.r.o.. You play the most skilled archer in a village high in the northern mountains and fight off the forces attacking it. It is distributed through SideQuest, where it was first listed in June 2020.
How it plays
Barbarians are tearing the village apart, and creatures from the underworld are joining in. Your job is to stop them while scoring as many points as you can. The listing summary frames the game as village defense where traps, tools and tricks matter as much as aim.
- Fire arrows: set your arrows alight to deal with Ice Giants.
- Armored foes: look for weak spots on enemies wearing armor.
- Explosives: throw bombs to clear the way.
- Traps: survive traps in new areas and use them against your enemies.
A story runs underneath the fighting. The attackers may be after something other than the village, and you can uncover what that is as you progress.
Patch 0.2.0 improved performance, graphics, audio and bomb throwing. It also added an on-body quiver for experienced players and a pause menu where you can switch auto-reload and sticky bow grip on or off.
