Cosmic Flow: A Relaxing VR Experience is a free fitness and health app from vedev; the publisher field on the store reads self. It is an audio-visual piece meant to quiet your mind, built from shifting, kaleidoscope-like imagery and sound. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since May 26, 2021.
What you can do
There is no goal to reach or score to chase. You put on the headset, settle in and let the visuals and audio wash over you. The creator compares the experience to a massage for the mind and to a form of meditation.
According to the description, Cosmic Flow was made by an artist as the first entry in a series of VR pieces about connection and personal expression. The thinking behind it is that a calm mind can understand and express itself more easily, and the hope is that the sense of calm stays with you after you take the headset off.
The store page does not describe session length, settings or any interactive controls, so expect a simple, contemplative piece rather than a full meditation program with courses and tracking. Since it is free, small and works offline, it is an easy thing to try when you want a few minutes of quiet.
Comfort
Cosmic Flow can be used sitting, standing or in room-scale mode, and it uses Touch controllers. Sitting down suits the relaxed pace best. The visuals are constantly moving, so if busy patterns tend to bother you, our guide to motion sickness in VR has tips that may help.
