Big Bat VR is a baseball batting simulation from AVRspot that puts you in a life-size stadium setting tailored to you. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on September 27, 2021.
How it plays
You start by creating a private profile with options matched to your skill level and comfort. From there you step up to the plate against a virtual pitcher and try to hit the ball as far as you can before a time limit runs out.
- full-scale scenes, from the locker room to the stadium with a cheering crowd
- timed sessions focused on hitting the ball farther each time
- fireworks in the background whenever you hit a home run
- a Global Leaderboard to compare your scores with other players
AVRspot says it paid close attention to visual effects, sound and lighting to make the experience feel realistic. That is the developer's own description; the store text does not list pitch types, difficulty levels or additional modes.
It is a single-player game, aimed at anyone who wants to practice batting or chase a better spot on the leaderboard.
Comfort
It supports sitting, standing and room-scale play, using motion controllers. Your profile lets you pick comfort settings that suit you. Make sure you have room to swing a full-size bat.
