StageTime is a free social VR hangout on Quest with outfit contests, paintball and party mini-games, live performer events and photo and video capture.
StageTime is a free social hangout app from Virtuware Ltd where you meet new people, dress up your avatar and play party games together. Live shows and in-app photo and video capture give it a media and video side too. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on January 30, 2025 and is listed as early access.
What you can do
You put together a look, then hang out with the community or join one of the games:
- Fit Check: dress to a theme, walk the runway, vote on other players' outfits and rise on a leaderboard.
- Paintball: blaster battles against other players.
- Stop and Go: a race to the finish where you have to freeze in time or get caught.
- Fortune Step: pick your route carefully and try to reach the other side.
- Live events: watch performers on stage as part of a VR crowd.
You can record photos and videos of your sessions and download them straight from the headset to share elsewhere.
Multiplayer
StageTime is built around other people. The store lists it as multiplayer only, and every activity on its page involves playing with or against others or joining an audience.
Comfort
Meta gives StageTime a moderate comfort rating. It supports sitting, standing and room-scale play. The store lists controllers as the input, while the description says hand tracking works too. If active games like Paintball make you queasy, check the in-app options and our page on comfort settings.
