Revisit: Time Travel with Google Earth is a travel and exploration app from Revisit that lets you visit real places in 8K 360-degree imagery and see how they have changed over the years. It is also listed under creativity and design. It launched on the Meta Horizon Store on October 16, 2025, and is still in early access.
What you can do
- Travel through time: pick a location and switch between years. A tool called Time Rift shows an older view right next to the current one.
- Go anywhere: search for a place, drop into the street and walk through neighborhoods, whether you know them or not.
- Fly in 3D: soar over cities, mountains, coasts and landmarks. This is an optional add-on, not part of the base purchase.
- Featured places: curated picks such as landmarks that have changed, World Cup stadiums and locations tied to big news stories.
- Local Radio: tune in to local stations and read local headlines while you look around.
It is a good fit for revisiting a childhood street or a past holiday spot and seeing what is different now. The developer offers support through Discord and email.
Comfort
Meta rates Revisit as comfortable for most people. It supports seated, standing and room-scale play, and you can use Touch controllers. The 3D flying add-on involves artificial movement, so if you are sensitive, read our guide to motion sickness in VR.
