nDreams
British VR developer and publisher in Farnborough, founded in 2006, behind Phantom: Covert Ops, Fracked and Synapse, and publisher of Purple Yonder's Little Cities.
nDreams is a British VR game developer and publisher based in Farnborough, Hampshire. It was founded in August 2006 by Patrick O'Luanaigh, a former creative director at SCi and Eidos, and has focused on virtual reality for most of its history.
Its own games include Phantom: Covert Ops, a stealth game played from a kayak that won the Game Critics Award for best VR game in 2019; the action shooter Fracked; Synapse, made for PlayStation VR2; and Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, developed for Sony Pictures VR. The company grew through internal studios such as Orbital and Elevation and bought Brighton-based Near Light in 2022. Technology group Aonic invested in nDreams in 2022 and completed its acquisition of the company in 2023.
nDreams also publishes games from outside teams. Little Cities by Purple Yonder was the first title in that program, and nDreams later helped bring it to PlayStation VR2 and, with Near Light, to Apple Vision Pro.
