A martial-arts workout app built with Les Mills: punch and kick targets to music in coached sessions, with a mixed reality mode on Quest 3.
Les Mills Bodycombat is a fitness app made by Spanish studio Odders Lab together with fitness brand Les Mills, based on its long-running martial-arts group workout. It launched on Meta Quest on February 3, 2022, and later came to PlayStation VR2, the PICO Store and, in April 2025, SteamVR. Store names vary: on Quest it is listed as LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT: Fitness workouts, and on Steam and PlayStation as LES MILLS XR BODYCOMBAT.
How it plays
Each session is a coached workout set to music. Targets appear in front of you and you hit them with punches such as jabs, hooks and uppercuts, while blocking and dodging. Les Mills instructors, including Dan Cohen and Rachael Newsham, coach you through each routine.
- The base game offers 50 workout plans from beginner to advanced.
- Paid add-on packs such as Bodycombat 100, Never Surrender, Power Strike and Focus Mode add more workouts.
- An Ultimate Fitness Pack bundles the game with add-ons.
Mixed reality
An update in October 2023 added a mixed reality mode that shows your real room around the targets. It needs a Quest 3 or Quest 3S for full functionality, and it helps you stay aware of your surroundings while you move.
Comfort and space
Meta rates the app as moderate. There is no artificial movement, but the workouts are physically intense. It is played standing, and room-scale space is recommended so you can strike freely. Use wrist straps and a washable face cover.
What to know before buying
- The list price is $29.99 on Quest, Steam, PlayStation and PICO, with no subscription.
- The PICO version was last updated in 2024 and does not include every add-on.
- It is rated PEGI 3.
